YEATES

New South Wales | Mudgee

Our Review

In '10 the Yeates family purchased the Mountain Blue Vineyard in Mudgee from Foster’s, who in turn purchased it from Rosemount (the shiraz and cabernet were the source of Rosemount’s single-vineyard Mountain Blue label). Planted in 1968, these are some of the oldest vines in Mudgee. The vineyard has been managed organically since '13 and the vines have flourished under this regimen. Riesling and albariño have since been established, too. -JAMES HALLIDAY
