Mordrelle Wines

Based in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, Mordrelle Wines is owned by Martin Moran with wife Michelle and her family, David and Jane Dreckow. The Mordrelle portfolio sources fruit from the nearby village of Mylor, plus sauvignon blanc, grüner veltliner, chardonnay and pinot noir from other Adelaide Hills locations and barbera, malbec, tempranillo, cabernet and shiraz from Langhorne Creek. Martin has also worked on viticulture research projects in Langhorne Creek and (tapping into his Argentinian roots) has made malbec from there as well as a regional trophy-winning barbera and other varieties. Mordrelle’s labels are created from original artworks painted by Jose Luis Moran, Martin’s late father. -JAMES HALLIDAY
