Our Review
Heathcote Estate and Yabby Lake Vineyard (see separate entry) are owned by the Kirby family of Village Roadshow Ltd. They purchased a prime piece of Heathcote red Cambrian soil in '99, planting shiraz and a little grenache; they have since added nebbiolo. The hugely talented Tom Carson has been group winemaker since ’08, adding lustre to the winery and its wines. The estate vineyard was certified organic in ’21. -JAMES HALLIDAY
