Northern Hope Winery

Originally from the UK and working in digital marketing, Richard and Samantha Edwards moved to Australia in 2012 and decided to become dedicated vignerons, establishing Northern Hope winery at Lancefield in ’17. The property sits at 750m above sea level, planted to 0.4ha of pinot noir MV6 and 115 clones, with the same amount of chardonnay to be planted in ’23. Until the site produces fruit, the pinot noir is sourced from a grower in Woodend and the first wine was made in ’19. A Heathcote shiraz is due in mid ’23. -JANE FAULKNER
