Do you love great wine, great food, and celebrating the best of the Australian wine industry? We've got the event for you!
Taking place at the Victoria Pavilion, Melbourne Showgrounds on Friday the 7th of November 2025, the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards trophy presentation luncheon is the ultimate day out. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal alongside a curated selection of trophy-winning wines from this year's Awards.
"It’s a rare opportunity to taste the wines everyone will be talking about,” says Kirrily Waldhorn, Melbourne Royal Senior Manager, Food and Beverage Awards.

For those who don't know, the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards was established in 1883, making it one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious wine shows. Judging takes place in October each year, and annually sees around 2500 entries from over 400 wineries across Australia.
The Melbourne Royal Wine Awards committee is made up of seven representatives from the Australian wine industry, including winemaker Rohan Smith of Medhurst, Mel Chester of Giant Steps and Kim Chalmers of Chalmers Wine.
The annual Trophy Presentation is where the best of the best wines are unveiled, including the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for Best Young Red, the François de Castella Trophy for Best Young White, the James Halliday Trophy for Best Pinot Noir, the Trevor Mast Trophy for Best Shiraz, and the Dr Tony Jordan Trophy for Best Sparkling.
The luncheon allows guests to taste a selection of this year's trophy-winning wines, perfectly paired to a three-course meal.
So who can attend the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards? Melbourne Royal Senior Manager Kirrily Waldhorn says anyone is welcome to attend! "You don't need to be an expert – just someone who loves discovering great wine in good company."
