Our Review
David O’Leary and Nick Walker together had more than 30 years’ winemaking experience with some of the biggest Australian wine groups when they took the plunge and established their own winery and label in ’00. Certified organic since ’13, Clare Valley vineyards focus on riesling, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon, while Adelaide Hills sites are planted to chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, shiraz, sauvignon blanc and merlot. The 4th generation of Walker winemakers is now on board, with Nick’s son Jack working at the Leasingham winery. -JAMES HALLIDAY

O’Leary Walker Wines offers a relaxed yet polished Clare Valley cellar door experience overlooking the Watervale region. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings with knowledgeable staff, explore museum and limited-release wines, and settle in for a seasonal dining experience at our on-site restaurant. Led by Head Chef BJ, the menu showcases high-quality South Australian produce designed to pair seamlessly with our wines. Whether stopping in for a tasting or lingering over lunch, we aim to offer genuine hospitality, a strong sense of place and wines that reflect the character of the region.
Bookings are recommended, especially on weekends and during peak periods, and can be made online via our website or by calling the cellar door. Walk-ins are welcome when available. le.
