Representing the cream of the red wine crop, the diverse mix here will have you adding everything from old-vine shiraz to cool-climate pinot noir, Margaret River merlot and superb South Australian grenache to your cellar.
The list that follows forms part of James Halliday's Top 100.
Wow. Opens with six pinot noirs split equally between Tasmania and the Yarra Valley, all but one from the exceptional ’17 vintage. Then seven shirazs (all old vine), two grenaches, a ravishing merlot and four great Margaret River cabernets to conclude.
