Yarrh Wines

New South Wales | Canberra District

Our Review

Fiona Wholohan and Neil McGregor are IT refugees; both now work full-time running the Yarrh Wines vineyard and making the wines. They spent 5 years moving to a hybrid organic vineyard with composting, mulching, biological controls and careful vineyard floor management. The vineyard includes cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, sauvignon blanc, riesling, pinot noir and 4 clones of sangiovese. Yarrh is a local Aboriginal word meaning ‘running water’ from which the district name of Yass was derived. -JAMES HALLIDAY
