Our Review
Grove Estate Vineyard was re-established in '89 by Brian and Suellen Mullany on the site where grapes were first planted in Lambing Flat in 1861 by Croatian settlers who brought vine cuttings with them from Dalmatia. Further plantings in ’98 were made on their Bit O’ Heaven Vineyard, the 2 sites with vastly different soils. One of the original pickers’ huts has been refurbished as the cellar door. The wines are made at Clonakilla by Tim Kirk and Bryan Martin. -JAMES HALLIDAY
