Our Review
Established in 1827 in Reims, G.H.Mumm is one of Champagne’s most iconic houses. For almost two centuries, it has produced premium blanc de noir Champagne from fruit grown in some of the region’s best terroirs, including Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize and Cramant. In '05, it was acquired by the Pernod Ricard group, and in '20, together with Pernod Ricard winemakers, it released its first wines made outside of France. The Maison Mumm Terroir range includes sparkling wines from Tasmania and Marlborough, New Zealand. In '24, it released its first still wine – a pinot noir from Central Otago, made by New Zealand Mumm chief winemaker Jamie Marfell. -ANNA WEBSTER
