Kaesler Wines

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

The 1st members of the Kaesler family were Silesian immigrants who settled in the Barossa Valley in 1845. The vineyards date back to 1893 and some of the old shiraz vines remain today. Kaesler family ownership ended in 1968 and the company was eventually acquired by the same investment group that has since purchased Yarra Yering. This change was advantageous for the vineyard, which is now farmed regeneratively, with a focus on soil health and biodiversity. All wines are made of estate fruit under the watchful eye of 3rd-generation Barossa winemaker Tim Dolan. There is no doubt that the old vine material is in very good hands. The old brick horse stable now holds a private tasting room and the original farm cottages offer accommodation. -HALLIDAY TEAM
