Our Review
Springs Road runs east-west across the northern part of Kangaroo Island. The Springs Road Vineyards were established in '94 on a small sheep property about 7km west of Kingscote and are now owned and operated by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith from Battle of Bosworth in McLaren Vale (see separate entry). Small quantities of chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and a cabernet sauvignon shiraz blend are made from the very low-yielding 20yo vines. The vineyards have been managed organically since Louise and Joch took over in '16, and are awaiting certification. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door
Information
Springs Road cellar door is located on the vineyard off Springs Road, but accessed opposite 761 Playford Highway, Cygnet River KI 5223 about 7km west of Kingscote. We have a long winding driveway which takes you through the property past sheep, chooks, guinea fowl and the vineyards up to the cellar door that sits sentinel at the top of the hill, looking south east over towards Nepean Bay. We have a deck and a terrific view. HOURS Open daily 12-5pm from October to April, open daily from 12-4pm from May to September (closed every Tuesday).
