Dabblebrook Wines

South Australia | McLaren Vale

Our Review

Dabblebrook is the seachange occupation of Ian Adam and Libbi Langford. They left Port Douglas after running a waste management company, moving south to find what the larger world offered. They found a property with 5ha of shiraz and 2ha of grenache, planted in 1990. In the early years they grew grapes for d’Arenberg (shiraz and grenache), an arrangement which ran for 5 years. Over the same period, Ian worked on the Battle of Bosworth vineyards, gaining experience from Joch Bosworth. In ‘11 he decided to make the wine for Dabblebrook; a vintage in the Loire Valley has further cemented his role as a winemaker. The red wines are made with little or no machinery, typically hand-plunged and basket-pressed, with minimal additions. Exports to Singapore. -JAMES HALLIDAY
