Grant Nash

The eponym for this label is a phantom, an identity minted by a Siri voice-to-text autocorrect of grenache. That lack of recognition of and respect for the variety was a common one not long ago, but in ’22, Bryn Richards, together with wife Sophie Richards, joined the swelling ranks of those determined to right that wrong. Grant Nash's philosophy is centred around thoughtful, gentle winemaking. Winemaker Bryn (with 33 vintages behind him, no less) sources from prime McLaren Vale sites, eschews fining agents and makes the wines with minimal intervention. Currently, Grenache-centric blends fill the portfolio, including a rosé, a white, and a trio of reds: Lunch Wine, Dinner Wine, and the varietal Vitamin G. -MARCUS ELLIS
