Our Review
Parea Estate was established in vintage ’22 by cousins Ollie Bevan and Sam Stephens, and Sam’s wife, Fiona, on the old Koltz vineyard in Blewitt Springs. From this site, the trio produce an elegant, medium-bodied and savoury shiraz from 0.7ha of 30-year-old dry-grown vines. Although there is just one wine in Parea’s range – so far – the addition of 0.85ha of grenache to the vineyard, which they’ve also converted to organic, points to future growth. -ANNA WEBSTER
