Puddleduck Vineyard

After working the majority of their adult lives at vineyards in southern Tasmania, Darren and Jackie Brown bought land in 1996 with the dream of one day having their own label and cellar door. The dream is now reality, with the vineyard planted to pinot noir, sauvignon blanc (1ha each), chardonnay and riesling (0.75ha each), and the next step is a small dairy making cheese from their goat herd to complement the wines, which are sold exclusively through the cellar door. -JAMES HALLIDAY
