Our Review
Liz McGown may have retired from specialist nursing (some years ago), but is busier than ever, having taken on the running of the 400ha Tinderbox fat lamb and fine merino wool property after a lease (which had run for 22 years) terminated. Liz describes Tinderbox as a vineyard between the sun and the sea, and looking out over the vineyard towards Bruny Island in the distance, it is not hard to see why. The attractive label was designed by Barry Tucker, who was so charmed by Liz's request that he waived his usual (substantial) fee. -JAMES HALLIDAY
