Our Review
Rivergate Wines is the Kerr family business, producing intense-flavoured, full-bodied wines at Axedale, midway between Bendigo and Heathcote. They specialise in growing and producing Shiraz, from low-yielding, hand-tended estate vines. The wines are matured in French and American oak barriques for 12 months. When seasonal conditions permit, a small amount of Reserve Shiraz is made. -JAMES HALLIDAY
