Poplar Bend was the child of Melbourne journalist, author and raconteur Keith Dunstan and wife Marie, who moved into full-scale retirement in 1997, selling Poplar Bend to David Briggs. The changes are few; the label still depicts Chloe in all her glory, which could be calculated to send the worthy inhabitants of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (of the US) into a state of cataleptic shock. -JAMES HALLIDAY
