Krystallo Estate

Krystallo Estate is a family-run winery in Lima South, a cool, elevated region between Mansfield and Benalla. In '09, Jim and Maria Kakridas purchased Nillahcootie Estate, planted to traditional cabernet, shiraz, merlot and semillon. They later expanded the estate by purchasing the vineyard next door, planted to Mediterranean varieties. Wines sourced from the former are bottled under the Nillahcootie label; the latter under the Belitso label, named after family patriarch, Giorgios Belitso Kakridas. Greek varieties are planned too, as is a cellar door. -JENI PORT
