Our Review
Founded by James Halliday AM, Coldstream Hills has 135ha of estate vineyards as its base, 2 in the Lower Yarra Valley and 3 in the Upper Yarra Valley. Pinot noir and chardonnay continue to be the principal focus of Coldstream Hills’ Yarra Valley, Single Vineyard and Reserve tiers. Sauvignon blanc, Cabernet sauvignon (also forming part of the Reserve range) and sparkling wines round out the portfolio. There is a plaque in the fermentation area commemorating the official opening on 12 Oct ’10 and naming the facility the ‘James Halliday Cellar’.
