After a whirlwind honeymoon traipsing through Europe and the wineries nearby Florence, 4-time premiership player Jordan Lewis had well and truly caught the wine bug. Upon his return to Australia, he went straight to the top and contacted revered winemaker Franco D’Anna (Hoddles Creek) in the hopes of sharing great wine. What eventuated was a friendship that forged a path to create some of the Yarra Valley and Mornington region’s great single-site pinot noirs. Together with Sam Middleton (Mount Mary), D.M.L was born.
