Our Review
Brown Brothers bought the Innocent Bystander brand (including Mea Culpa) from Giant Steps in ’16, relocating the cellar door next door in the old White Rabbit Brewery site. Its business is in 2 completely different wine categories, both fitting neatly together. On one hand is the big volume of vintage moscato, the grapes coming from the King Valley; and non-vintage prosecco, similarly sourced. The other side of the business is the premium, high-quality Yarra Valley single-variety wines with substantial brand value. -JAMES HALLIDAY
