Our Review
Established in '74 by Perth-based medical practitioner Dr Peter Pratten and Elizabeth Pratten. The first vineyard adjacent to the winery was planted on the banks of the quiet waters of Capel River. The viticultural empire has since expanded, spreading across Geographe (9ha), Mount Barker (15ha) and Margaret River (28ha). There are 4 tiers in the Capel Vale portfolio: Debut (varietals), Regional Series, Black Label Margaret River Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and, at the top, the Single Vineyard Wines. Information
We invite you to a tasting of our locally produced wines at the Capel Vale Cellar Door. We have knowledgeable and friendly staff, a range of quality wine accessories, homewares and home-made preserves. We offer a selection of local cheese, relish, olives, crackers and other platter items for guests to purchase and enjoy onsite. Alternatively, you are welcome to BYO picnic lunch to enjoy with our wines.

The philosophy behind the restaurant is to Match food with wine. The menu comprises Match Plates specifically matched to our award-winning wines.
