Our Review
Picardy is owned by Dr Bill Pannell, wife Sandra and son Daniel; Bill and Sandra founded Moss Wood winery in Margaret River in 1969. Picardy initially reflected Bill's view that the Pemberton area was one of the best regions in Australia for pinot noir and chardonnay, but it is now clear Pemberton has as much Rhone and Bordeaux as Burgundy in its veins. The Pannell Family wines are a separate venture to Picardy. -JAMES HALLIDAY
