The picturesque Smithbrook property is owned by Perth businessman Peter Fogarty and family, who also own Lake’s Folly in the Hunter Valley, Deep Woods Estate in Margaret River and Millbrook in the Perth Hills. Originally planted in the 1980s and one of the first in the Pemberton region, the Smithbrook Vineyard covers over 57ha of the 110ha property and focuses on chardonnay, pinot noir, merlot and nebbiolo. -JAMES HALLIDAY
