Zarephath Wines

The Zarephath vineyard was owned and operated by Brothers and Sisters of The Christ Circle, a Benedictine community. In '14 they sold the property to Rosie Singer and her partner Ian Barrett-Lennard, who live on the spot full-time and undertake all the vineyard work, supplemented by the local Afghani community during vintage and pruning. They have diverse backgrounds, Ian’s roots in the Swan Valley, while Rosie has worked in various aspects of fine arts, first in administration and thereafter as a practising visual artist with galleries in north Queensland and regional WA. -JAMES HALLIDAY
