Rob Mann is a 6th-generation winemaker. He was previously chief winemaker at Cape Mentelle in Margaret River, where he and wife Genevieve lived. Rob’s father had established a family vineyard in the Swan Valley more than 25 years ago, where they both worked together in Rob’s early career. Genevieve worked as a winemaker in her native South Africa, as well as France, California and South Australia before meeting Rob and moving to Margaret River in ’07 to be winemaker for Howard Park. They now have 3.5ha in Margaret River and the Swan Valley, planted to 1.6ha chenin blanc, 0.4ha tempranillo, 0.2ha malbec and 1.3ha cabernet sauvignon. Exports to Singapore. -JAMES HALLIDAY
