King Island Tasmania

In 2025 the Halliday Cup is heading to King Island! As you gather for the holidays with your loved ones, it's the perfect time to plan your King Island golf trip. Join us in Tasmania from May 16–18 for a weekend of golf, highly-rated wine and great food.

You'll enjoy accommodation at Cape Wickham and have the opportunity to play on two world-class courses – the Cape Wickham golf course and the Ocean Dunes.

Your King Island itinerary

You'll arrive in King Island at Cape Wickham on Friday May 16. After checking in, and settling in, join us for welcome drinks where you'll meet the Halliday Cup 2025 group (be sure to size up the competition), and enjoy a barbecue.

We'll see you bright and early for breakfast on Saturday morning, before you tee off at Cape Wickham. You can opt to play 18 holes or feel free to play all day, just ensure you're back in time for dinner. Non-golfers, there's plenty to see and do on the island. On Saturday evening you'll dine on local produce. Arrival canapés and the three-course menu will be paired with Halliday-rated wines.

Dust yourself off on Sunday morning, because we're heading to the Ocean Dunes course for a morning of golf, before crowning the winners of the 2025 Halliday King Island Cup. Then, we'll say farewell as you depart the airport and make your journey home.

King Island golf

You'll spend the weekend on the picturesque King Island. Situated in Bass Straight between Victoria and Tasmania, King Island is a golf-lover's paradise. It's home to Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes – two of Australia’s top courses that are ranked among the best in the world.
