En route to the Basalt Wines cellar door, take a detour to the “Tower Hill” volcano and nature reserve only a couple of kilometres across the paddock. At the stunning new cellar door and restaurant, taste Basalt’s range paired with local cheeses and seafood. The smoked eel on Killarney potato makes a perfect match to the Basalt Great Ocean Road Riesling.

The wines of Henty Estate are characteristic of the Henty region – elegant, long-lived and well balanced, with fine natural acidity. All Henty Estate wines are grown, made and bottled on the property; the vineyards on the estate yield fruit that displays great regional flavour, producing aromatic whites and intense, finely-structured reds.

The Herrmann cellar door has attractions for wine and animal lovers alike, as you can wander through the surrounding ancient red gums and say hello to the resident rare-breed pigs and chickens. Visit the cellar door to take in the spectacular views of the Grampians mountain range, learn about traditional wine production and discuss food pairing. 

The Pierrepoint cellar door is open every day from 11am-6pm, offering its beautiful estate-grown wines alongside those from other Henty and Grampians producers. Enjoy giant games on the lawn in the sun or traditional games inside by the fire. Find a spot for a picnic with a grazing platter comprised of mostly-local produce, with local beers and ciders also available.
